About Rules

General Overview

These are the BFG Forum Rules. If you don't agree with them you can leave this section of BFG but still use the others. You will receive a warning when caught on breaking one of the rules. But also, You may be banned for the first offense against the matters of keeping the rules!

This board is based on the Webs application Forums. Just call it the forums, the board or whatever you like to call it, as long others understand which section of BFG you mean.

Why are there rules?

BFG is a place to let people discuss pretty much everything. Rules are here to keep the discussions clean. 

Dont's

The GENERAL BIG ones

If you break these you get instantly a ban, no matter which moderator sees the rule offending post(s).

1.) Using

-> racist

-> sexist

-> homophobic

-> hateful

language

2.) Posting

-> pornographic

-> cartoon pornographic

-> NSWF (Not Safe For Work)

material

... counting for any forum post, profile comment, blog entry and other sections where you shall behave.

-> Posting with an alternative account while being banned on an other one

The other rules

If you break these ones, you're definetly risking to get banned. 

-> Discussing illegal activities

-> Creating parody threads of other threads / members / moderators / administrators

-> Including any sort of bad languege in the title

-> Using knowingly bad syntax and grammar

-> Offtopic posts

-> Pseudo-modding

-> Trying to circumvent these rules in any stupid way

-> Any sort of Spamming, advertising, Picture spamming

-> ALL CAPS POSTS

-> All letters colored posts

-> All letters Big and/or Bold posts

Forum Specific Rules

Hardcore Launges

Bad syntax and Grammar are allowed, as long as really everything can be understood by everyone!

Welcoming Forums

Forbidden is any sort of

-> talking about how bad or useless the rules are as a non-newcomer

-> harassing the newcomer in his thread

The ideal welcoming post also includes a link to the rules!

Final Thoughts

So that we all can come along

-> Read every (new) post of a thread before you post in it.

-> If you keep the rules and make clever posts, you may will become a moderator some day.

-> We love clean Threads and deep discussions between our members. As a result from that, destroying already big and good threads may will give you a longer ban.

-> If we oversee something, feel free to contact one of us.

-> If you don't have fun at the Forums, don't visit them.

-> Feel free to discuss these rules IN THIS THREAD.

About Ranks

Webs Forums app doesn't offer a rank system directly, so this is self made. Feel free to use the rank image of your current rank - but also feel free to use your free avatar. The only thing you're are not allowed to do is to use a rank picture of a rank you haven't achieved yet (though, colony screenshots are allowed again). It's also no problem to include the rank picture of your current rank in your signature - and scale it as you want.

You go further in your rank as you make more forum posts. High ranked users have better chances to become moderators, are more popular in these forums and will be treated by Moderators as a "TaoT Pro" (long registered and active user).

Rank Images and Requirements

Again, webs Forums app doesn't offer a Medal system either, so this is self made as well. Medals generally mark special achievements of users (if they won tournaments, became moderators, administrators, etc.). Feel free to include your earned medals in your signature, or to put them in one corner of your Avatar. Please, don't put medals you didn't achieve yet in your signature and/or avatar, otherwise you may will receive a ban. Medals list is being updated - new medals may be coming!
